It's not having what you want

...it's wanting what you've got." - Sheryl Crow: Soak up the Sun

The words from that song came to me out of nowhere the other day as I was working away. Perhaps it was my way of signaling to myself that I'm finally coming out the woe-is-me coma. All I can say is that it's about freaking [excuse my language] time!

I've been in a bit of stupor lately - feeling sorry for myself because I dislike my j-o-b as a desk jockey. I know, enough already, right??? There are enough unemployed folks out there and I am whining about being employed. Pitiful.

I am happy to report that my attitude may be shifting. In addition to the distraction (in a good way) of this blog, I have discovered many a great resource to get my happy self back and start looking at life through half-full goggles again.

Dani over at Positively Present is one of those resources. She has a ton of great articles and insight on focusing on the positive in life. I also love the way her site is so colorful and uplifting. It's like a little boost of sunshine every time I do a click-by.

How 'bout you? Do you have any resources that you lean on when you need a shot of positivity? Share them with us!

Happy escapes!

Actually, your blog and others help me quite a bit. I've become a follower, oh, heck, I think I am a "blog groupie" at the ripe old age of almost-70! Seriously, the ones that I follow are sure to either show me that my life is not as bad as I think it is, or will make me smile or sometimes laugh out loud, or just plain make me feel good.

Hi, Evie - I'm fast becoming a blog junkie myself and really enjoy the different points of view out there. Thanks for your comment!
