Why choose fried or baked??? It's time to think popped! Popchips are:

Healthier, delicious, all-natural. Actually, we are all that and a bag of chips. How do we do it? Well, first, let's talk about how we don't do it. We never fry our chips. That just puts a lot of stuff in there that we could all do without. We never bake our chips either. That just takes a lot of flavor out, which, as snackers, we simply can't do without. So we came up with a chip like no snack aisle has seen (or taste bud has tasted). That's because we found a way to pop all the flavor in while keeping fake stuff and more than half the fat of fried chips out. Thanks to the magic of popped.

My Review

Thanks to Matt over at Meandering Matt for getting me the hook-up for my very own 6-pack samples care package of Popchips .  I have been fortunate to have already found the delicious Barbecue flavor at my local Target, so I was thrilled to be able to try out the other flavors.  

This turned out to be not so easy of a feat. For one, Mr. Escapades (a.k.a. my husband) grabbed the Salt & Pepper as soon as I popped open the care package.  All I got after that was mmmmm and crunch crunch.  I did manage to grab "a" chip and I had to agree, it was good.

The next two bags went to my older son and his friend - so the Original and Barbecue were taken.  I should not have been surprised given how quickly the other Barbecue Popchips are eaten up at my house.  My younger son opted for the Sour Cream flavor and didn't stop until it was all gone.  So the next snacking chance I got, I grabbed the Cheddar flavored.  Yep, you guessed it, yummmmmmmmmmm!  They weren't lying about it being "a bagful of reasons to smile and say cheese".

The Sea Salt & Vinegar sample has the distinction of being the last in the box.  This is likely due to the fact that we've never had this flavor combo before.  It certainly did have a tangy flavor. All in all, this family is grateful for the Popchips taste test.  Our favorite is still Barbecue with Sour Cream & Onion coming in second.  What can we say, we are indeed creatures of habit.  

But wait, it's not just about the great taste, Popchips are also healthier for you, too. They are all natural and made with no trans fat, are low in saturated fat, no cholesterol, and no preservatives. My single serving bag of Cheddar Popchips only has a Weight Watchers POINTS value of 2 points (1oo calories, 3.5 fat grams and 1 fiber gram).  I am so ready to make the Snackers' Credo.  Are you?
