As I speed along the midday escapades highway, the next exit started with the letter "K". After some debate (with myself) about whether this week's escapade would involve knitting, karate or ketchup, I went with kickboxing!
I had some vague recollection of going to a class years ago when cardio kickboxing started getting popular, I didn't let that deter me from going. I spent my Wednesday lunch hour working up a sweat by jabbing, kicking, and roundhousing the person next to me (just kidding). You weren't thinking I would be sparring in boxing gloves and all, did ya? Well, okay, so I thought I might be.
Man, what a natural high I had after the workout. Even if I wasn’t able to keep up with the rest of the class, I had such a rush from the adrenaline and endorphins that I might even go back. LOL. Let's not forget the calories and fat that I burned. Burn baby burn!
Oh, and if you are wondering, that is not me in the pic above. Not quite brave enough to post actual pic of me attempting to cardio kickbox. But who knows, maybe in the future. Stranger things have happened.
Happy natural high!

Wow. I tried a Kettlebell Pump class at the Y. I made about 4-5 classes successfully and then had conferences where I was out of town. Haven't been back for that class since. Major workout though!
I plan on trying that someday. ;-)
Love trying new classes like that. Still haven't done that one though. I think I'd love it. Holly at lifelaughlatte.blogspot.com
I have been wanting to try this. I have a friend that enjoys her kicking class.
I love kickboxing. I've been doing it on and off for few years now.
It is so empowering and you feel so alive after.
It's really good for letting out your frustration, lol.
how good are you... cardio is a struggle for me.. but this looks fun.
I was actually looking forward to hearing how you could put your spin on ketchup :-) Have an awesome K-day!
Working out definitely gives me a high!
I work out regularly, but I haven't done kickboxing in years - I think it's time to try it out again!
