Some background info about Shelly, The Attic Girl:

I'm a work at home mom of 1 son who co-owns an online store with my hubby. I have become addicted to finding out how to tweak my blog on my own, even though I really need blog designing for dummies!

Q: What brought you to the blogging world?

I started my blog to help advertise our business initially. My hubby gave me the idea. It started off with very small posts and then grew as I visited more blogs and got new ideas. It evolved more into a hodge-podge of family fun, book reviews, and giveaways.

Q: How did you come up with your blog name?

My blog name comes from our business name which is Donny Dixon's Attic. My hubby named the business so I tried to find a blog name that would tie into that.

Q: Do you have a favorite feature at your blog?

My favorite feature on my blog is book reviews and giveaways. I love finding new books to read and pass them along to other book lovers.

Q: Which one of your posts is a must read?

I think that this post is a must read because it is about a wonderful opportunity that I had to meet Christian fiction authors in person and help out at a book signing at my son's school.

Q: What do you attribute to your success?

I attribute the success of my blog to the wonderful blog friends I have made since I started. They have given me so much good advice and help! I also attribute my success to the people who read my blog every day and leave feedback. It's wonderful to know that someone is reading what you post and taking something from it.

Q. Do you have any tips to share with new bloggers?

As a new blogger, check out other people's blogs and posts to get ideas. You'll find different blogging groups you can join for support. Also, leave lots of comments on people's blogs and establish relationships. You'll make wonderful friends that way!

Bonus Question: When was the last time you laughed so hard that you cried?

I think the last time I laughed so hard that I cried was when I put my family's heads on the Elf Yourself dances at Jib Jab. It was pretty hilarious! I shared it with my friends and family and I'm sure they got a good laugh as well.
