You guessed it. Today we're returning back to our midday escapades. After all that is the name of my blog. Our last escapade was in a land not so far away and brings us to the letter "N" in the Escapades A-Z quest.

NAILS
Yeah, baby. What gal doesn't like getting her nails done. Aren't they all purty??
LOL. Ok, those aren't my real nails. I opted for a less dramatic, but equally dashing mango color. For me, it's not even picking out that just perfect color or having a flawless polish.
Oh no.
The whole draw for me is the pampering. The one time that I can totally focus on taking care of me. When I can let the cares of the office and the world melt away so I can have a little bit of relaxation time. Delightful. Just plain delightful.

When I have my nails done it always seems as though I ruin my pedi. I have to run down the street to my car in those horrible flip flops they give you out of the kindness of their heart. Meanwhile the ladies are watching you hobble to my car, and the things rip as fear rushes in that I may have been pampered too long, and now I am going to get a ticket.
I do my own nails but i love a massage..I dont get one often but love it when I do..when in need I recruit hubby who I dont have to pay...!!also just to be at the beach is pampering enough...!
Okay, I have to agree that nails definitely trump naps! That's a pretty intense picture...glad you didn't go that route. Now that you mention it, maybe I could sneak off and get something done to my nails today. Or better yet, my toes--I just love pedicures.
Right now the best Midday Escapade for me would be to just get the heck outta this office!!! But then I may not come back..... :-)

Getting my nails done once a week is my guilty pleasure and something my hubs insists I do for myself cause it lets me get out of the house and hang with my friends (they own the salon) for few hours.
I am going next Wednesday.
I am a big fan of French gel nails.
No escapades as yet, but dude.. I got my nails done for my wedding (first and last time ever) and it took 5 months for my damaged real nails to grow out and the woman doing my pedicure maimed my foot so bad with the callous scrubber that she went down to the meat! Took three months for that to heal and I couldn't wear my wedding shoes and my dress dragged on the ground. I was so mad.
Lesson learned: go where they speak English. Apparently "Owowowowo ow!" didn't translate.
Does getting your nails done usually leave fingernails so thin and mangled?
I was just planning my next pedicure. Heading to Hawaii with 6 girl friends in a couple of weeks and can't have the toes looking like winter feet! Happy New Year. Holly
ahhhhh...there is nothing as relaxing as a good pedicure. i love, love, love it.

I love the pampering too! For me it is never about pretty nails (well, maybe a little bit) but I love the pampering feeling.

I hope that little paint boosted your mood! I always love to paint my nails, but every stinking time, I get it most places BUT my nails. Lol
