Parisian Living For Me

Moving along to the letter "P" of my midday escapades, I am pleased as punch to present my perfect plan for Parisian living.  Some of you may have already caught onto my French obsession, particularly, for my beloved city of Paris.  It's not just the beautiful architecture, museums, French accents, cafes and so much more that I love, but I enjoy and admire their laissez-faire way of living. Carefree, leisurely, and loving life.

That, my friends, will how I will be living it up during my upcoming break (alas, near my home, not actually in Paris *sigh*).  Picture with me if you will an extended escapade...

Starting the day with a leisurely breakfast at an outdoor cafe knoshing on fluffy croissants accompanied by rich chocolate, flavored jams and a hot cup of cafe au lait.

Spontaneous walks to explore new areas of town and at the same time getting your daily dose of exercise that you actually enjoy.

A stroll through an open French market with basket in hand while you peruse the overflowing offerings of fresh food to select your lunch options.

People watching and journaling your happy thoughts as you sip from a dainty porcelain espresso cup and nibble on sumptuous petit fours fit for a Queen.

Finally, a wonderful day culminating in a romantic dinner date at a fancy but quaint French restaurant with the love of your life.

Oh, doesn't it sound so lovely? I can't wait for this to begin!  I promise, dear friends, that I will be thinking of you all during this blissful escapade.

Happy escapades!

This is such a wonderful escape! I have a similar obsession with Ireland, but it's still just a dream! Paris is another place I've always wanted to visit, but I haven't gotten there yet either.

As close as I've come is my husband promising to take me to Paris for my birthday - Paris, Texas. He thinks he's funny. Not so much!

That sounds lovely! I would like to sleep in late in a fine Parisian hotel and then have chocolate croissants and espresso while watching people stroll by a restaurant window.

I'm feeling the pull of Paris again. I went to a restaurant today. It had the feel of Paris. Live flowers on the tables, each table with an adorable and unique set of salt and pepper shakers...sigh.
