Quality Time with Yours Truly

When was the last time you spent some quality time with yourself? You know the kind where you can clear your mind, be still, silent and just breathe.

As I thought about my next midday escapade, the letter Q was up (read my other Escapades from A-Z), and quality time immediately came to mind.   This was perfect considering my usual escapade involves some type of activity.

Yesterday, I found a quiet place and just sat.  Since I'm not familiar with meditation techniques, I simply did my best to focus on my breathing and let everything else slip out of mind.  No worries, to do lists, what's for dinner, nada.   And it was pure bliss.

Next time 'round, I'm hoping to find some place nearly as beautiful as the pic above.  Have you had a little quality time with yourself lately?

Happy escapades!

I love meditating, it really helps me to slow things down and center myself. I meditate just about anywhere, even in Chloe's room at night when she does not want me to leave and lays quietly while I stay. I just plop myself on the floor and take some time for myself, even though I am still there for her.

Have you been talking to my six-year-old? Yesterday she came to me and asked me to do a "relaxable" with her...she had taken my iPhone and found spa music on Pandora, and had set out two blankets on which we could sit and meditate. Where she learned this I have no idea...but it was definitely a fun "quality time" moment for both of us.

It's been a long time. I always get distracted when I meditate. Don't know why. Even when I am alone, my mind would fly some where else.

I should take more quality time to be with myself, but I don't.

With a hubby and 3 kids (one of them special needs), I rarely find time to myself. Even when they are all at work/school, I'm still so busy. I sooooo need to do this!

Hope you have a wonderful day :)

I did a technique I learned from a book. Starting at 1, count to 30 taking a breath on each count. Repeat but this time exhale on each count. It actually works but you need to start over each time you get distracted which for me, is more often than I hoped. LOL. I was able to do it once for 22 entire minutes which was no small feat. :)

Being retired and the kids all grown, I get lots of me time. I am going to try that breathing exercise of Jenny Mac's, though.

Nice pic, and thanks for stopping by. I've never tried meditating, but then again it depends what you call meditating. Personally when I get on a roll and start blog hopping my mind wakes up, and I start to talk to people in my mind, and shhhh don't tell anyone, but I talk to me too. For example: "What the hell are you doin?" You have laundry waiting, grocery shopping, go make the beds!" ~hehehe~ Love to blog hop!

Taking time for myself is what nourishes me. Its very important and that 5/10 mins by yourself is worth it. Living Laughing and Breathing!

Thanks for stopping by. =)

I need "me time".
These last weeks have been work, work and a giggly toddler.

This week I am redecorating my room and that's a relaxing time for me. lol. =)

I usually go out on my deck by myself, lounge out, close my eyes and just breath. I've been known to fall asleep too! LOL

I don't have experience either with meditation techniques, but like you, I recognize the necessity of some quality time for myself, when there is no stress, not work, nothing rather than myself. It is important that we all do that everyonece in a while, because if we are calm we will be able to solve conflicts in a more effective way.

oh man, quality time with myself. I have neglected that for several months now... it's waaaay past time!

I've thought about meditation, maybe time to re-think that further.

To simply sit quietly and breath letting the world fall away even if for a moment... *sigh*

Good tip. I hardly ever just sit and think of nothing. My mind is always racing. I should do this more.

Hope you have a great day♥
